A is for Al & Audre
Week A | Wednesday | Glimmer time ✨
I’m sending you this gathering of glimmers much earlier in the day than usual, purely so I can kick off with the late, great – and let’s be real, super fine – Al Jarreau. This was the first thing I put on the ‘Now Playing’ when I worked in a mall record store in the early 1980s, enjoying the vibe while it was still quiet, setting up the tills and opening the glass doors. Just hearing the first few bars makes me feel seventeen again. Mornin’!
