F is for Fabulousness
Week F | Monday | Making the best of things
Until recently Wan Ji Chang, 83, and Sho-Er Hsu, 84, were just quietly running a neighbourhood laundromat in Taiwan, in relative anonymity.
But now they’re beloved fashion and Instagram icons.
The couple have operated Wan Sho Laundry in Taichung City for over sixty years.
Needless to say, a lot of garments have remained uncollected over that many years.
It’s around 300 items, indeed, and anything abandoned becomes fair game after a year.
Their 31-year-old grandson Reef Chang noticed they were bored when it was quiet.
Reef became stylist and photographer to his grandparents, sharing their fun online.
They didn’t think anyone would be interested, but became instantly, globally adored.
You’re never too old to be too cool for school.
