R is for Rilke
Week R | Wednesday | Glimmer time ✨

Made for me – for all of us – by a friend with woodworking gear in her room, when we were working at the world’s largest women-only university in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Never not glimmers, no matter how many listens, with this song that’s as old as me.
The Welsh menu at Caffi Spam in Colwyn Bay, for the unveiling of a crowdfunded Terry Jones – beloved of Monty Python’s Flying Circus, of course – statue on 25 April.
The statue. Bit cheeky.
My mother loved the Cotswolds so we used to visit it from Oop North sometimes. I loved the model village at Bourton-on-the-Water, a miniature version of the larger village itself, inside it. But best of all, as you can see, a more mini version again is inside the model village, inside which is an even smaller model village. And, if you’re a child or have kept some semblance of the child in you, there’s another inside that, then another, and another, ad infinitum. Glimmers of mind-blowing magic.
No matter your age, you can let your imagination fly free.

Cats: making the most of every opportunity. No suitcase open? Suitcase cover will do. We have much to learn from them.
‘Still life with oranges’, Rafael Romero Barros, 1863.

‘Dusk, New Jersey’, Joel Meyerowitz, 1978.

Just fabulous Rachel. All of it. Fabulous! 🙏💖
What Marian said, exactly. 💜
