Last week I was blessed by the most wonderful call with four glorious women, thanks to the excuse of our little ‘book club’ here – though we talked little about the latest book and discussed much else of truth and beauty.
I saw a cartoon some years ago, and wish I could find it again. It depicts two ‘leaders’ shouting at each other across distanced podiums while, underneath them from within the podiums, hands reach out to offer each other flowers.
I was so struck during our time together last week by the ways we all engage in bringing light to the world, sharing and multiplying it, individually and collectively. And wondered how much of that goes on without most of the world noticing, acting as a counter-balance – or more! – to the chaos and evil that’s made so evident to us.
I have a small WhatsApp group for sharing glimmers and, after that wonderful call, find I want to share the practice here, too. From now on, on Thursdays, I’ll share glimmers I’ve made note of, and yours too if you want to share them. Drop me a line about yours while you remember them, or add them to the comments on Thursdays. ✨
This whole post is a fabulous glimmer—thank you!! ✨💙🩵💙✨ … and I had a glimmer today pausing to gaze at the gorgeous Royal Poinciana trees I’m lucky to have in my garden that are in full bloom this time of year. They look all dressed up in full red blossoms as if they’re going to an annual fancy dress Arbor Gala. Their natural beauty and pops of vibrant mushroom-canopied flowerings dotted all over the island gives me a zing. Thank you again for sharing these amazing works & all your wonderful writings. Here’s to glimmers galore! ✨❤️✨
Thank you for the Blue Horses!! A fabulous poem and a wonderful painting. I only regret to say, horses know too well what war is, having been sacrificed to many wars, in service. One of mankind’s outrages.
And yet, they don’t hold grudges and continue to be a boon for sorrowful hearts. And a willing host for joy filled hearts.
May your day be many-glimmered!!
