W is for Wintry Walks
Week W | Thursday | Glimmer time ✨
Happy Full Moon, Cold Moon, Super Moon.
As ever, I’m taking Week X off, except for paid subscribers on Friday, and the kōllages I send them every five days. See the rest of you in mid-December with more chilly joys and beauties, and plenty of news.
Speaking of joys, here, have some vintage buttons.
‘Two Cats’, Marguerite Zorach, 1929.
George Balanchine and his cat Mourka, by Martha Swope, 1964.
‘Making haste through New York’, Vivian Maier, 1953.
‘Melting snow near Cwmbran’, Paul Weston.

I get glimmers every single day, watching what Niall Harbison and his team at Happy Doggo Land on Koh Samui, Thailand, achieve with the dogs they rescue through good care, good food, and lots of love. This is Sienna, a startling transformation already in a matter of weeks.
Asya Kozina, paper artist.

Medieval manuscript illustrations for the win.

I somehow missed this post the day it was released, but today turned out to be the perfect day for it. ❤️❄️
